Inspired by an island in the Florida Keys, Islamorada was a perfect fit for an ONDA gi since its original meaning was “Island Home.” Located approximately one-third of the way down this beautiful coral cay archipelago, it is one of our favorite stopping points when making the trip on Highway 1 to Key West.
The Islamorada - Kids
This Bamboo and Cotton blend is a strong but not stiff, surprisingly lightweight pearl weave, built for both comfort and durability. Bamboo weaves offer some ideal features for jiu jitsu practitioners: natural antimicrobial properties, excellent wicking and absorbency, and the ability to keep you cooler for that “one more roll.” Designed for a long comfortable mat life, while still incorporating the desirable characteristics of a competition gi.
Navy blue in color with Gamagrass green accents and silver pops, much like the peaks and reflections of the clear waters.
The “MM88” on the left sleeve is representative of Islamorada’s geographic location on the Highway 1 (Mile Marker 88)
A marlin emblazoned on the right sleeve signifies the areas roots in sports fishing.
Standard ONDA quality components
ONDA Signature Rip Stop pants with pearl weave seat for durability and freedom of movement
Triple reinforced, contrast stitching on the lapel
A lapel that is comfortable but firm – no loop choke for you! ;)
